Living with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is really hard. The conditions are debilitating and has a profound affect on the sufferer and their family. From one day to the next you don't know how you are going to feel, will you be able to get up out of bed, will you be able to get dressed, will you be able to have dinner with your family? All these questions are just daily thoughts of a CFS sufferer. People think that those with CFS/ME/Fibromyagia make their symptoms up, I can assure you these symptoms are real!
Nobody knows how these conditions are caused. Nobody knows how to treat them. Nobody knows how to make you better. Nobody knows if you will get better. Nobody knows when you will get better.
I have my own thoughts on Fibromyalgia and CFS, I think it is the body's way of saying enough is enough. This isn't always physical but emotional, thoughts and feelings. When we have a thought or a feeling, the body releases certain chemicals, worrying, anxiety and stress are bound to take an effect at some point as the body gets low on the chemicals it releases, resulting in dis-ease in the body.
To overcome CFS must just be a matter of time. It has taken years for the body to get to this stage and condition, so it will take the same amount to get well again.
